iainmanado.official- IAIN Manado continues demonstrating its commitment to expanding its international network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jadara University, Jordan, on September 5, 2024. The Rector of IAIN Manado, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rajafi, M.H.I, and the President of Jadara University, Professor Dr. Habes Muhammad Kholifah Hatamleh, signed the MoU.

The event was organized by the Event Organizer, Associate Professor Dr. Sabbar Dahham Sabbar, Dip., B. Sc. Pub. Adm., M. BA., and Dr. Anas Mosleh Marzoq Al-Mhasnah, as the event facilitators, along with the team from the Rosy City for Educational Services and Consultations.

This collaboration covers various aspects of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (the three pillars of higher education in Indonesia), which include student exchanges, community service programs, and academic development initiatives. It is expected to facilitate knowledge and experience sharing between the two institutions to enhance the quality of education and research.

Rector of IAIN Manado, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rajafi, M.H.I, stated that collaborating with Jadara University is a strategic move that will open significant academic and non-academic development opportunities. “This cooperation will positively impact both parties, especially in improving the quality of education through knowledge and cultural exchange,” he said.

Vice-Rector for Student and Partnership Affairs, Dr. Mastang Ambo Baba, M.Ag, also attended the signing and added, “This is a pivotal moment for IAIN Manado to go more global. We hope that this cooperation will bring widespread benefits to the entire academic community.”

The event received special attention and support from the Indonesian Embassy in Amman, represented by Mr. Alamsyah, the Cultural and Social Affairs, and other embassy officials. Besides IAIN Manado, other Islamic higher education institutions involved in the MoU signing were IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, IAIN Metro, IAIN Kerinci, UHN I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar, IAIN Ternate, and IAIN Palopo.

During the visit, the Rector of IAIN Manado also delivered a public lecture at Jadara University, discussing “The Role of IAIN Manado in Multiculturalism and Religious Moderation in Indonesia.”

IAIN Manado strives to establish itself as an educational institution capable of contributing internationally through strategic partnerships with renowned universities worldwide.
