iainmanado.official- The Academic Journey delegation from IAIN Manado, led by the Rector of IAIN Manado, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rajafi, M.H.I., was warmly welcomed by His Excellency the Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. Ade Padmo Sarwono, at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Amman, Jordan, on September 6, 2024.

The event was organized by the Event Organizer, Associate Professor Dr. Sabbar Dahham Sabbar, Dip., B. Sc. Pub. Adm., M. BA., and Dr. Anas Mosleh Marzoq Al-Mhasnah, as the event facilitators, along with the team from the Rosy City for Educational Services and Consultations.

In his remarks, Ambassador Ade Padmo Sarwono appreciated the strong collaboration between IAIN Manado and two renowned universities in Jordan, namely Irbid National University and Jadara University. “We greatly appreciate IAIN Manado’s efforts to expand its academic network to Jordan. This is an important step in strengthening international collaboration, particularly in research and education,” said Ambassador Ade.

 

He also emphasized that Jadara University in Jordan excels in research and technology. In addition, Ambassador Ade stressed the importance of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that has been agreed upon so that it can be actualized in the form of concrete programs beneficial to both parties.

On this occasion, Ambassador Ade Padmo Sarwono also highlighted the importance of the Amman Message initiative, launched by the King of Jordan in 2004. The Amman Message aims to promote moderation and tolerance in Islam, and according to him, contributions from Indonesia’s State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) are highly anticipated in discussions and conferences on this theme to be held in Indonesia. “The role of PTKIN in providing insights and input during this conference will be crucial,” he added.

The Rector of IAIN Manado, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rajafi, M.H.I., expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and support extended by Ambassador Ade Padmo Sarwono. “IAIN Manado, as a multicultural campus, fully supports efforts to strengthen religious moderation. We hope this collaboration will bring significant benefits to the academic community and the wider society,” he stated. He also emphasized that IAIN Manado is ready to actively contribute to promoting the values of moderation and tolerance, which align with the Amman Message’s spirit.

This visit is part of IAIN Manado’s efforts to expand international cooperation and improve the quality of education through collaborations with various leading universities worldwide.
